What to Expect from a Virtual Hormone Consult

By: Dr. Nate Fulton, NMD

So you’re thinking about booking a hormone consult, but you’re not sure what to expect.

Totally normal.

Let’s clear that up right now.

Whether you’re dealing with low energy, stubborn weight, mood swings, low libido, or just feel like something’s “off”—a virtual consult gives you real answers, without sitting in a waiting room or getting dismissed by a doctor who barely looks up from their screen.

Here’s exactly what happens when you book a consult with me.

Step 1: You Book Your Spot

You’ll choose a time that works for you. No phone tag. No referral needed. Just straight access.

If you’re in Arizona, I can act as your doctor and manage everything from labs to prescriptions.

If you’re in another state, I offer 1:1 virtual hormone consults to help you decode your labs, understand what your body’s telling you, and build a custom strategy.

Either way, you’re getting a plan, not a sales pitch.

Step 2: You Fill Out the Intake Form

This isn’t your average “check a few boxes” form.

I go deep, because your story matters.

You’ll fill out a detailed intake that covers:

  • Your top symptoms and health goals

  • Past medical history, labs, medications, and supplements

  • Diet, sleep, stress, energy, mood, menstrual cycle (if applicable), and more

Most of my patients say this alone helps them connect the dots before we even talk.

Step 3: We Get on a Video Call (No Waiting Room Required)

This is where the magic happens.

You get 60–90 minutes of undivided attention.

We’ll go over:

  • Your symptoms, history, and how you’re really feeling

  • Any labs you already have

  • What your labs actually mean (spoiler: “normal” isn’t the goal—optimal is)

  • What might be driving your symptoms

  • What testing, nutrition, supplements, or treatment makes sense for you

You’ll finally get to ask questions and get answers that make sense.

Step 4: You Leave with a Clear, Personalized Plan

I’ll send you:

  • A written summary of our call

  • Specific recommendations: labs, lifestyle, targeted supplements, or prescriptions (if you’re in a state where I can prescribe)

  • A game plan that actually feels doable

This isn’t a band-aid. This is root-cause, personalized care—built around you.

Common Symptoms I Help With

  • Fatigue and brain fog

  • Low libido and mood changes

  • Irregular or painful periods

  • Weight gain, especially around the midsection

  • Hair loss or acne

  • Poor recovery or low motivation

  • Waking up at 2–3 AM wired but exhausted

If you’re feeling dismissed, misdiagnosed, or just sick of hearing “everything looks normal,” you’re in the right place.
